Hi Ryan,

My flex builder (the eclipse plugin) has a version: 3.0.214193, while my eclipse is a Java EE IDE for web developers (it’s got the webtools suite as well). Its version is 1.2.1.20090918-0703.

My macbook pro says that: ‘ 64-bit Kernel and Extensions: No’. So am assuming it’s a 32-bit machine and i just checked the system profiler, JavaVM says it runs on 64-bit extension. I think this is where the problem is.

Any ideas?

I recently got a new MacBook Pro. I installed Eclipse 3.4.2 (Eclipse IDE for Java Developers 64 bit) and Flex Builder 3.0.2.214193. Cairngen ran with no issues right out of the box.

Are you guys running Snow Leopard on 32 bit macs, or are you running 32 bit Eclipse on a 64 bit mac? If not, can you give me some more information about your environment?

…/dev/tools/Cairngen 2.1.1/build.xml:102: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: Cannot load 32-bit SWT libraries on 64-bit JVM

Did someone figure out a solution for this?

Rob – I am getting the same error. Did you ever figure out what caused your issues? I tried the permissions as you suggested, and I am still getting the error.

Ryan – Did you ever run into that issue when you upgraded to 10.6?

Hi again, I think it may have been related to something else, as it started working.

Not sure what I did to fix it, may have been permissions on the jar files

Rob, I haven’t seen that error before, but it’s possible that it is related to Snow Leopard. I’ll be upgrading in 2 weeks and I’ll post an update then.

I am still getting:

“build.xml:102: java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no swt-carbon-3349 or swt-carbon in swt.library.path, java.library.path or the jar file”

I am trying to do this in FlexBuilder3 and have tried putting the jar files in the way you suggested and also as Global entries.

I am on Snow Leopard if that makes a difference…
